3 hours and 17 customer service reps later....

I started on Target .com looking for slippers that I had purchased in a Target store. When I finally found the slippers using a discription, I found the item described did not match the picture..pic was slipper, description was tights. I called the 1-800 number for target.com and got a man from the phillipines who didn't speak very good english and did not understand my problem.I asked to speak to a supervisor...14 different operators from 3 different countries, none america and I get no answer except "we are sorry but we have never seen this problem, we can not help you." I decided, now 2 hours into the call, to call a store 50 miles from me and see if somebody can help me. I am told that the item I am looking for is a seasonal item and after it is clearenced, if it is not sold, it is thrown away. The store I called is in a flood area that was devistated by the 2011 upstate NY flooding.So basically Target is filling our landfills with crap they can't sell,instead of donating it to the victims of the recent flood. I was given a "guest relations" number and told to call them. I did..now well into the 3rd hour, I get New Deli India and ask to be transfeered to the Minnisota dept...transfered. Now I am speaking with Josh who finally finds an item number which up till now has not been located. He tells me that "the item is out of stock online, please try again in a few days." So I explain that I am very unhappy that it took 17 people and 3 hours to find this out. He says hold one moment..46 minutes on hold. I get a man from "media relations" who I explain a brief summery..he tells me I was transffered wrong and please hold. I say "oh dear, please don't transfer me again." He says in a nasty tone, "don't call me dear!" I apologize and change it to sir and try again. He transfers me while grmbling about disrespect. Back to "guest relations where another lady who refused to give me her name looked up the item number and said "those do not exist". I gave her the UPC and she said.."sorry I can not find those in any of our stores near you." I can except that. I asked her how Target was going to make this bad situation better and I was told they could not do anything more, sorry for the 3 hours you spent and the many people you spoke to. I am not happy that they do not want to take responsibility for the bad experience I had and are not even trying to satisfy the customer. I am no longer shopping there and WILL write reviews about this every chance I get.
