Rug from Target MELTED - Kenya Fleece Accent Rug - Threshold%u2122

I purchased the 5x7 Kenya Fleece Accent Rug by Threshold%u2122 from Target back in August. I LOVE it, but my vacuum cleaner MELTED it. It was sitting on top while I had pulled out the extension to clean my couch and upon finishing and lifting my vacuum, I noticed the fibers in that area had been completely singed off. The care instructions indicate to vacuum it regularly and spot clean if necessary. Nothing about it MELTING under heat. Needless to say, I'm pretty heartbroken about this. If only the label had indicated to take caution while vacuuming or when around other appliances that emit heat, I would've taken extra caution.
